The Bethany Social House offers an extraordinary chance to own and operate a thriving venue business in a beautifully preserved historic church. Whether you're an entrepreneur, a hospitality enthusiast, or someone with a passion for history and community, this property is your canvas.

About the Property

Built in 1928, this beautifully restored prairie church offers a rare opportunity to own a piece of Saskatchewan history. Originally the Bethany Lutheran Church, this 2,400 sq. ft. wood-frame structure has been lovingly transformed into The Bethany Social House—a charming and memorable venue ideal for concerts, weddings, corporate events, workshops, and community gatherings.

The Bethany’s story began in 1927 when a rural grocery store fell apart during a move. Local settlers salvaged the lumber to build the church near the rural community of Bethany. After 30 years serving the congregation, the building was moved 8 km into Hazlet.

The final church service was held in 1992, and the building sat empty—yet cared for by local volunteers—until 2017. That year, Lindsay Alliban and Erin McKnight purchased the property and began a thoughtful restoration, installing a new steel roof and refreshing the interior. In 2018, The Bethany reopened with a concert by Saskatchewan artist Belle Plaine and has since hosted over 40 Canadian musicians.
